A glance at history.
The strength of our Association is the spirit of secularism and unity amongst all the religious groups in the Malayalee community. MAMANGAM has, over the years, done its utmost to serve humanity in general. Among the beneficiaries are the Gujarat Earthquake Fund in India, Kerala Flood Relief Fund, Kiwanis Down Syndrome Association, MAKNA, schools, orphanages, etc. MAMANGAM has also rendered its assistance to many needy individuals in the form of cash benefits for medical treatments, obtaining medical assistance at subsidized costs, and other required assistances. To provide a more concerted effort to assist the needy, MAMANGAM has set up a MAMANGAM Welfare Fund. MAMANGAM continues to play an active role in the Malayalee community.
We had organized numerous Malayalee weddings and have also rendered our assistance to families who have lost their loved ones, helping to conduct the final rites. It is imperative that our rich culture and heritage are not lost in an era of mass commercialization. Believing that mastering our mother tongue is essential to grasping the very nuances of our culture, MAMAMGAM conducts weekly Malayalam classes.
